A Visit With Father Christmas, 2018

Visiting us in Henley Street

Situated in the heart of Stratford upon Avon, just three doors from the entrance to William Shakespeare's birthplace, Magic Alley and the Enchanted Manor are a must see for anyone who still has that spark of imagination and sense of wonder within them.  Prepare to be amazed, astonished and astounded by Stratford's most unique visitor experience based on the Chronicles of Wizard's Thatch.

Spread over three floors in one of the town's most historically significant buildings, the Creaky Cauldron, you'll see the sign creaking in the breeze as you walk down the street... So, go ahead, laugh, have fun and seek the magic for yourselves as you discover a taster of the Enchanting World of Wizard's Thatch.  Remember, that the building is over 450 years old and is not suitable for pushchairs or buggies - please leave them at home.  Visitors with limited mobility may struggle with the upper floors, so please call us if you are unsure about accessibility.

Planning your visit ...

Magic Alley opens most days at 10.00am and closes most days at 5.00pm with last entry to the Enchanted Manor Museum one hour before we close.  This does vary occasionally, due to maintenance work and seasonal events, so please call to check on the day you are planning to visit if you haven't prebooked your tickets.

Tickets for the Enchanted Manor Museum cost:  £10.00 for Adults and £7.00 for children, students and concessions. Under 1's go free.  Blue Peter Badge Holders can enter free of charge.

Different pricing applies for visits that include a visit to see Father Christmas - please visit our Christmas pages for details:

How To Book A Visit ...

We'd like to make your visit and experience as magical as possible for you and your children, so please read the information below, so you know what to expect and what we'd like you to do.  We would hate to disappoint you and your children when we are fully booked, so please call us to check that we have availability.

Only those who have booked a place will be guaranteed entry as we are very busy during peak periods.  Spaces are very limited, so you must book your timed entry slot in advance to avoid disappointment. For this reason, if you can't make it at your appointed time please let us know as soon as possible by telephone on 01789 290969

The Enchanted Manor is spread over several levels and is not suitable for pushchairs, buggies or those with limited mobility. Please do not bring pushchairs or buggies as there is no secure storage area.

All tickets are for timed entry, you will not be admitted before your booked entry time, so please do not turn up for early admittance. There will be plenty of time to explore Magic Alley and take tea in the Golden Broomstick either before or after your visit to the Enchanted Manor. There are no actors that jump out and we are a family friendly experience committed to providing magical moments and unforgettable memories based on the Chronicles of Wizard's Thatch series of books.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied. The tickets are non-transferable.  A visit to the Enchanted Manor will last anywhere from 30 minutes to just over an hour - it really is up to you.

Please note that we do not stock Harry Potter merchandise in our stores, so please don't ask for it!  But we do sell a magnificent range of books, toys and unique magical gifts.  Visit our store pages for more information on the ranges that we sell ...

So, Where Are We?

You'll find us situated at the "Jester" or "Windsor Street" end of Stratford's only pedestrianized street - Henley Street at number 21 (just look for the hanging sign of the Cauldron!). Simply follow the signs to Shakespeare's birthplace - and we are literally three doors away, you can't miss us!

The Closest Car Park

The closest car park to us is the Windsor Street multi storey car park which is 2 minutes’ walk away and there are disabled parking spaces outside. The cheapest car park however is the Windsor Street Surface Level car park which is just 10 yards further down Windsor Street on the left-hand side. There is a charge for parking in either of these car parks.

By Train or By Coach

Stratford upon Avon Train Station is approximately a ten-minute stroll away (do not get off at Stratford Parkway Station by accident!) - and most coaches stop either at the Windsor Street Terminal at the top of the road or at the Leisure Centre which is by the river. The Leisure Centre is a gentle stroll of about 15 minutes from us.
